He who makes rivers rise,

He who gives fruit their flavour.

He who makes fountains spring,

I am the interpreter of the Torah.

I am the commentator of commentaries,

I am the exegete of the Gospel.

He who assembled the Koran,

I am the enlightenment of clarity.

I am the saint of saints;

And the heir of the prophets.

I am the priceless jewel;

And the gate to the city.

I am the legatee of science,

The substance of stars.

I am the Message supreme,

I am the straight way.

I am the secret of letters,

And the light of all time.

I am the key to the invisible,

The lantern of hearts.

I am the illumination of spirits,

And the spirit of forms.

I am the pole of poles,

The beloved of beloveds.

I am the awaited Mahdi,

The Christ of the end of time.

Ask me about the paths in the sky,

I know them better than those of the earth; Ask me whilst I am among you.

I am he of whom it was said :
